Tuesday 27 December 2011

I want to thank everyone for making the first few weeks of i fiori such a success - it was a whirlwind November and December seemed to fly past.

This week I have herded up the elves (after they have had a good rest) and we are changing things up in the shop and getting ready for a new month and a new year.

I will be open on Wednesday January 4, and I look forward to seeing you then!

what's in store this week

At i fiori we have affordable, thoughtful and different gift ideas so you can think outside the 'big-box'!

for the foodie on your list:
The pasta with sage butter gift box: imported Italian pasta paired with a Canadian grown organic sage plant, and tied together with a fool-proof recipe.

for the person who needs a bit of pampering:
The lavender-lift gift box: a bar of luxurious goatsmilk and lavender soap, paired with a canadian soy-based candle (no lead used in the wick!) nestled in an elegant star-shaped holder filled with lavender buds - as the candle heats the buds, the natural scent of the lavender increases

for an alternative to the poinsettia:

eucalyptus & kangaroo paw

Don't misunderstand me - I am not against poinsettias, but few plants look more utterly awkward in January.

Why not try a bouquet of silver dollar eucalyptus and kangaroo paw - the smooth pale green leaf is complimented perfectly with the soft burgundy buds, and as an added bonus fresh eucalyptus will offer a delicate clean scent to the room.

Frosty ferns are another seasonal alternative that will last well beyond the early winter months and into spring. Fluffy and compact foliage with snowy white tips, they are very easy to grow and take care of.

We have an ever-changing and evolving assortment of succulents ranging from the familiar aloe vera plant to the unusual string-of-pearls. Canadian grown, the plants are available individually or potted in singles or groupings in stylish wooden planters.

simply beautiful phalaenopsis orchids

Orchids. Simple. Elegant. Beautiful. Phalaenopsis orchids are ridiculously easy to maintain and will give you many weeks of exquisite flowers. We have a large assortment of colours to choose from and sizes ranging from the small desk-top or mini orchids, the table-top orchids, to the grande dames - tall double stemmed. All of the orchids come with a ceramic pot, and there is never an extra charge to have your orchid wrapped and ready to give as a gift.

Why not tell me a little bit about the recipient, and with that information I will make a 'personalized' european hand-tied bouquet of flowers and greens - and you can take the credit '

got cats?
We have organically grown cat grass - no chemical treatments to the seeds or soil - ever
