time to think about seeds

Its time...!

Join us on Tuesday March 21, between 7 and 9 pm for a seed starting Q&A with Hanna from Matchbox Garden and Seed Company - your very own local, certified organic farm and seed company.

Find out:
- why you should know about heirloom seeds,
- what is the difference between organically produced vegetable seeds and chemically modified seeds
- what is open pollination? and why does it matter?
- are some seeds better planted directly in the ground, and others started indoors? Why?

-arugula is arugula is arugula... is there really a difference growing it from Matchbox seeds?
(trick question - the difference is flavour and yield!)

There is no cover cost to attend, we will be ready to answer questions and give advice whether you are starting your first garden, or branching out from the mass produced seeds you've always bought at those chain stores.

There will be a selection of seeds available for purchase, as well as organic fertilizer, starter trays, and biodegradable pots.

Mark your calendar, and please pop-in Tuesday evening, March 21 from 7 to 9pm.
